A handy reference for sorting your cards!

Calling all B.P.R.D. Agents,

Hopefully plenty of our European backers have started to see shipping notifications appearing in their inboxes - and the rest won't be far behind either. The warehouse is working flat out to dispatch pledges to Europe, UK and RoW, and the other hubs are primed for shipping as soon as they arrive in a matter of days.

With pledges due to start arriving shortly, we wanted to post a quick guide about sorting the cards in their respective decks. Due to a slight printing mix up, some of the cards (Deck of Doom, Enemy, Boss and the items) have been a little jumbled up. The Case Files are NOT mixed, so there won't be any spoilers.

Luckily, though it's extremely easy to sort them into the correct sets for the core game, expansions and Kickstarter exclusives. Just look for the symbols below on the cards and you'll have them sorted in a few minutes.

Calling all B.P.R.D. Agents,

Today marks an incredibly significant day - it's 25 years since the publication of Seed of Destruction, which introduced us all to Mike Mignola's visionary Hellboy. Since that fateful day we've been introduced to the B.P.R.D., gone on countless adventures and no doubt had a few laughs along the way.

We'll be celebrating Hellboy Day by reading through the comics and perhaps having a quick play through of Hellboy: The Board Game... well, it would be rude not to! We're also celebrating by announcing our very special Hellboy Cinema Experience!

This is your chance to meet Hellboy illustrator Duncan Fegredo and Hellboy: The Board Game designers Sophie Williams and James M. Hewitt, along with seeing the new Hellboy film in a private screening at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham, UK.

The Cinema Experience ticket includes:

• Private screening of the new Hellboy film
• A chance to play Hellboy: The Board Game
• Special guest - comic artist Duncan Fegredo
• Special guests - Hellboy: The Board Game designers Sophie Williams and James M. Hewitt

This is going to be a great experience and we're giving Kickstarter backers the first opportunity to buy a ticket from the website. The event takes place on April 24th at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham (UK) and more details can be found over on the website.

The cinema event marks the start of the huge year for us, with Hellboy: The Board Game due in stores from April 27th and, of course, the Kickstarter pledges being delivered very soon. But that's not all we've got up our sleeve for this year...

Shipping update! Wave Two miniature pictures!

Calling all BPRD Agents,

Hellboy is in the house! This morning the first copies of the Kickstarter Edition have been delivered to our warehouse in the UK.

The building is now full of boxes like this, ready to start sending out. As mentioned in our previous update, we're going to concentrate on shipping as many pledges as we can to European backers first, to try and avoid any potential Brexit shenanigans. 

We're currently in the process of sorting and unpacking the boxes and expect shipping to begin later this week. In terms of pledges being shipped from our warehouse, we'll be doing Europe first, then UK and Rest of World.

The remaining pledges are currently on their respective boats and you can see the date we're expecting them to arrive at the shipping hubs below:

USA - April 9th

Canada - April 1st

Australia/New Zealand - March 25th

Please bear in mind, it's going to take up to six weeks to get all pledges shipped. We will post an update once shipping has been completed and will let you know in that update when you should start contacting us about missing pledges.

CHANGING YOUR ADDRESS

If you need to change your address, please email [email protected] as a matter of urgency. This is the ONLY way for us to update your address now that shipping is about to begin. Please do NOT update your address in Backerkit, you must contact our support team to ensure we have the correct address on our database.

WAVE TWO PICTURES

With shipping for Wave One due to start shortly, it's time to look ahead to Wave Two. As mentioned in the previous update, Wave Two will start shipping in September and consists of the following items:

• Resin miniatures (excluding translucent Johann, which is in Wave One)

The design process is now complete for Wave Two and is with Dark Horse for approval. Recently we received sample miniatures from our manufacturing partner Panda to approve. This gives us a chance to see the production miniatures for quality control. Once again, we're delighted with the work from Panda and the overall quality. Shipping update: March 1st, 2019

Calling all BPRD Agents,

We have some good news today. Copies of Hellboy are all on their respective boats and shipping around the world. Below you can read an estimate on when they'll be arriving in their locations and then start shipping out to backers.

Europe (excluding UK) - a minor delay on this one but due in our UK warehouse by March 21st. Shipping will begin immediately so they're out the country before any Brexit issues. Boat: 'ELLY MAERSK'

UK (plus rest of world countries) - due in our warehouse by March 25th. Boat: ' OOCL Hong Kong 009W'

USA - due at the USA shipping hub around March 29th. Boat: 'NEW YORK EXPRESS 033E'

TERRAINCRATE 2 KICKSTARTER

Finally, this is just a heads-up that we're currently running a Kickstarter for TerrainCrate 2: Crate Expectations. This is a range of affordable, pre-assembled plastic scenery that's useful for a range of games.

There are four Crates being funded in this Kickstarter: Bleakwood Hall (gothic, Victorian-style furniture), Campbell Heights (post-apocalyptic), Bellevue Square (quaint village) and Morneville Ruins (destroyed quaint village). You can pledge for a full Crate or just pick a couple of sets, if you want.

Shipping Update - February 6th

Calling all BPRD Agents,

As you know, Hellboy: The Board Game was an absolutely monster success that was the biggest Kickstarter we've ever run, and one of the biggest hits of 2018. Thanks to your incredible support, we've created an absolutely monster box that's absolutely packed full of wonderful miniatures, incredible scenarios with loads of replay value and lots more.

Our production partner Panda has been working incredibly hard to bring that vision to life and we've been amazed by the incredible quality of the game they've produced. Ahead of Chinese New Year, they've been making about 1,000 copies each day, ready to ship to backers.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, they didn't finish production of all 12,0000 of the Kickstarter Editions in time for shipping before Chinese New Year. Roughly 4,000 have been completed - and you can see some in the picture below. And for the rest, all the components have been made, books and cards are all printed and the miniatures assembled - so all that needs to happen is for them to be packed into the boxes.

Rather than wait to ship all the games at once (which is what we would normally do), we've put these 4,000 on the boat immediately - meaning we can ship these to Europe before Brexit on March 29th (just in case the politicians screw it all up). Shipping to European backers will start  March 15th.

The remaining games will finish production immediately after Chinese New Year and will be on a boat in late February. These will be delivered straight to the various shipping hubs (USA, Canada and Australia) and sent straight from there.  Once we've got all the boat details, and dispatch time we'll share them in an update so you can track the progress over the ocean. We're anticipating that shipping for the remaining locations will start in late March/very early April - so not that far behind Europe - and completed in just 2 to 3 weeks.

We also have some good news for backers in Brazil! We will be working with a Brazilian board games distributor to ensure safe delivery of your games and will be emailing all Brazilian backers within the next few days with details.
