Will I receive my pledge before the game is available at retail?

We always endeavor to deliver the Kickstarter pledges before the game is available at retail, however in exceptional circumstances the pledges will deliver slightly after the retail launch. However, we try to avoid this as much as possible!

Do I need to fill out the pledge manager once the campaign closes?

Yes. You must fill out the pledge manager. If you do not fill out the pledge manager we will not have your address, and you will not get your pledge. We will not be able to guarantee that we will have enough stock to supply your full pledge.

When will Kickstarter payment be taken? Can I change my pledge?

If you pledge on this Kickstarter, payment will be taken after 8pm (UK time) Friday, May 25th, the same time the project ends. If payment is unsuccessful you will have 14 days to correct your payment details before Kickstarter cancels your pledge. Because payment is not taken until the campaign closes, you may change your pledge amount as many times as you like during the campaign. Just click ‘Manage my Pledge’ and you can make alterations.

Can I pledge £1 and still be able to access the pledge manager once the campaign finishes?

Yes! You can pledge any amount during the Kickstarter campaign and you will be sent the pledge manager. If you pledge £1, you’ll still receive the updates and information about the project too, so it’s a great opportunity to keep up to date with what’s happening in the campaign and what stretch goals we unlock.

Can I pledge for just the miniatures?

You can pledge to receive just the resin miniatures. Simply choose ‘pledge with no reward’ and then enter the amount required to pay for the resins you want to receive. You’ll then be able to choose the resin miniatures you want in the pledge manager.

Is there a 5-6 players mode?

Currently, no. James M. Hewitt (the designer) has worked very hard to get a finely balanced 1-4 player experience. We have not tested the game with 5-6 players but it is something we are aware that people want. We are looking into the possibility of adding this option but, for the moment, this is a 1-4 player experience (that’s great fun and full of suspense).

Is there a Canadian-friendly shipping option?

Yes, there is now! We have secured a Canadian-friendly shipping hub and have altered the shipping price accordingly.

Will there be any scenarios or miniatures based on the films?

No. This game is purely based on the (awesome) comics by Mike Mignola.

How do minions work?

Different minions WILL have different behaviours/stats. A frog monster armed with a weapon will act differently to a frog monster armed without a weapon. Likewise, a soldier with a gun will act differenty to one without. And a wolf won’t be the same as a werewolf. They will have specific enemy cards with their stats on and then the Case File will also change their behaviour too as you progress. The video playthrough is a demo that keeps things simple with the minions.

Short answer: minions will behave/attack differently depending upon what they are.

What colour will the minatures be?

All the miniatures will be grey (as it shows up the detail a lot better) but we will supply coloured bases for the heroes so you can clearly tell them apart from the enemies and each other.

What's a Case File? What's a Confrontation?

A Case File is a collection of cards that create the scenario and tell you how to play a mission. The Confrontation is an end of mission boss battle which details how to defeat the boss and gives you the stats/behaviour for that particular boss.

How do I add an optional extra to my pledge?

In order to get the optional extras you click ‘manage my pledge’ and then increase your total amount by the amount required, e.g. £35 for Hellboy in Mexico.

After the campaign has finished we will email you the pledge manager. In the pledge manager any extra funds you’ve pledged during the campaign will become credit to spend in the pledge manager. This is where you choose what optional extras you want to receive.

You can also add extra funds in the pledge manager to pay for any optional extras you want to receive.

Where is Ben Daimio?

This Kickstarter focuses on the early Hellboy stories, rather than the later (and awesome) BPRD storylines. Ben Daimio will not feature as part of the Kickstarter, but we definitely want to explore the wider BPRD storylines as part of future releases. So Ben will be coming… eventually!

Can I add extra funds in the pledge manager?

Yes! If you can’t afford to increase your pledge now, you can add extra funds in the pledge manager. We’re currently expecting to send the pledge manager to backers in July.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
